Problems with her tail?

My dog is walking around funny - she is not wagging her tail and she looks uncomfortable every time she tries to sit down.  She has obviously been licking the base of her tail (where it meets her body) b/c it is wet there.  Any ideas?  We just noticed this about 30 min ago.

She could have a pinched nerve, or problems with her anal glands, or even some allergy.  It is hard to say 100% sure without seeing her.  You can try giving her some Benadryl at a dose of 1 mg per pound, and massage the area.  You could also run a warm bath with epsoms salts to see if that helps to soothe her.  Otherwise, if she is not better, take her to the vet tomorrow for a checkup.
