blood in urine

my 8 year old male cat has blood in his urine.  i just noticed this and since then he has tried to pee three times but produced very little urine.  The only place open is an emergency clinic, does he need to be seen right now?

I would be concerned by the blood and seeming lack of urination ability that he may possibly have a urethral blockage which can be a life threatening.  It would be best to have him seen as soon as you are able.  Urinary infection could also cause such signs and not be as immediate a  problem, but it would be my recommendation to be on the cautious side and have him examined.
