I think my cat is sick....

Question
Hello my name is Stephanie and I have a 4 year female cat and I think she is sick, but I'm not sure...When she goes to sleep her nose gets dry and her ears get really hot, and when I turn her around her nose and ears become normal, but then again the problem comes. I have noticed that when she's asleep she licks her nose, I guess that her dry nose bothers her. I know from before that when their nose get dry is because they have fever or sick, but I don't understand why she is having this problems, do you think it's because of the air conditioner?I always have it at 70*C.
Thank you for reading this e-mail.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Leon

Answer
Some cats will have dry noses.  Body temperatures can cycle and increase at certain periods of the day/night.  If she is eating normal, not having any vomiting or diarrhea and is bright and alert, I would not worry.  A cat's normal body temperature is 100-102 degrees so they will always feel warm to us.  If she develops a disharge at her nose that is yellow/green, is sneezing a lot, refuses to eat or is lethargic, then take her to the vet.
