Question
We have an older lab, 10-12 yrs. He has been great with his bowel , urinating until last couple months. He cannot hold his urine all nigh as he used to very easily. There is always alot of urine at the front door each night. what is the problem when old dogs cannot hold their urine as they used to? Is there any med's to help this?  Thanks

Answer
Yes Paula, he may need an antibiotic from the vet - if he has a urinary tract infection.  Also, you can pick up the water at night... As long as it is not 90 degrees in your home.

I also have some supplements that can help your boy : here are some suggestions:

First off - Turmeric  ( this is an example of some ) YOU can find it at the food store or Walmart in the Health and Beauty area.
http://www.greenbush.net/tuca.html
Will help with possible inflammation.
YOU can give him 2 per day for the first 5 days and then cut down to just one per day.  It is safe and natural to use.

Next, NuVET plus - The BEST Immune System Booster you can buy!
NOT sold in stores / Buy thru the Manufacturer and avoid the Mark up by the vet's and groomers
http://www.nuvet.com/81098
NuVET Plus is guaranteed to help his bladder or YOUR money back.
Give vet/breeder code 81098

He will need 2 per day for the first 10 days , then you can go down to just 1 per day.  ( this wafer supplement is only about .55 cents per day)

Good Luck and talk to you soon:

Hello Tiffany - Yes, it could be a reaction to a allergen.
Yes, get another opinion from a second vet.  Ask them to do blood work and x-ray of lungs and heart.  Make sure she doesn't have fluids around her heart.

If all is normal, please contact me for supplements and proper diet instructions...OK

BEST of Luck
