Kittens eye

Question
I rescued this kitten and it's around 11 weeks old.  Her right eye was cloudy, but in the last few days it has begun to weep like she has a cold in it.  Her appetite is great and her bowel movements and urination are normal and she is a bundle of energy.  I was just wondering if this would be something to worry about or if it may clear on its own!

Answer
I tell all my clients to never let a bad eye go untreated. It can lead to many problems and loss of the eye.
If she isn't vaccinated she could be showing the first signs of Rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, or any number of upper respiratory diseases.

Your best bet is to take her into the vets and get her looked at, tested for leukemia, FIP, FIV. and have her vaccinated. He can check her eye for problems and give you something for it if it's just a localized problem.

But I would worry about it if it was left untreated.
