Question
Dog warts My 30lb Yorkie terrier mix approx 9 yrs old suddenly has warts all over her body and seem to itch and now she seems to be getting some kind of kidney infection which I will see the vet day after tomorrow about. He has given her a steroid shot last week and the warts are not like a pimple.. When she first got these she chewed one of the warts off.Do you know what these warts are caused by and could it be her diet?  We feed her moist dog food and a little meat from our dinner, (steak, pork or chicken) a small amount in to enhance the food. And could this be causing any kind of kidney infection to her? She is just started "peeing" a lot of clear liquid and is very thirsty. Is this the beginning of cushings or a kidney failure? And if so ,what may I do for the health of my dogs to preserve their health? Thank you very kindly and I hope to here from you soon.

Answer
These are probably sebaceous adenomas and they are benign.  THere is no relationship to diet or allergy to these tumors.

Asfara sthe other problems, your vet will need to do blood tests and urine tests to see abouthte kidneys, cushing's, or diabetes.
