QuestionI am the proud mother of a 5 month old little Lhasa-Poo. His name is Gus...I am still learning a lot about him and what his schedule is but I am curious about how often I should bath him. Many of my friends who have dogs say so many different things. I was wondering how often should i bath Gus and what other things do i need to do particular for a Lhasa-Poo. Thank You so much...all new information is appreciated.
AnswerIn a puppy with no skin problems, bathing once every 4-6 weeks is adequate. Dogs need oils on their skin and too frequent bathing removes this beneficial oily layer. If the dog rolls in something and gets dirty, bathe him. I would recommend that you comb or brush the dog regularly to keep the dirt off of the skin.
