parakeet egg

Hello I have 4 parakeets and one of them laid 4 eggs. She laid the first one on Jan 12th and has been sitting on them since the first egg was laid. How much longer should I wait to wonder if they are fertile or not? I am afraid to candle the eggs. Shouldn't the first egg be about ready to hatch if it is good?
