Question
What affect will ingesting 2 Naproxen (375mg) tabs have on my 6yr old daschund?

Answer
Depending on how large your dog is, the dose you are talking about is very toxic to a dog. Naproxen is not made for dogs and can result in kidney failure as well as stomach ulcers. The latter is the most common finding from ingestion.
Basically he ingested enough for a very large dog. If you have an emergency vet I suggest you contact them right away.

This is the toxic levels:
Naproxen can result in stomach ulcers at a dose of 2.5 mg per pound (6 mg/kg) daily. Naproxen can result in kidney failure at a dose of 7 gm per pound (15 mg/kg).

Do not induce vomiting in your dog until you call the ER vet. I hope that he will be okay. Please let me know how he does.
