intestinal parasites

Question
Tonight for the first time I noticed flat white worms about 1/2" to 3/4" long in my dogs' fecal matter.  Are they tapeworms and if so what do I do.  If I don't hear from you tonight I'll just go to the Vet in the morning.

Hi Sean,
   Yes they sound like tapeworms. You need to have the vet. give him a dewormer that kills tapeworms. A dewormer like Drontal or Drontal Plus. You also need to purchase a flea control, because tapeworms usually appear when your pet has fleas!. So get a flea control like Advantage, Frontline, or Revolution and you apply it once a month topically to the skin. Take care.
