Question
I bought a kitten and it's going to be sent over via airplane. They require that the pet carrier correspond to certain minimums.

I live in a very small studio-apartment and I cannot keep in a HUGE pet carrier, since I don't have much space to storage it. While it's simpler to just buy one of the large oversized kennels, it's not practical in my situation.

So what are the average lengths for a 11-13 weeks old of the Burmese/Tonkinese(or a medium sized shorthair)?

I need these measurements to calibrate for the appropriate kennel.

A = Length of animal from nose to root of tail.
B = Height from ground to elbow joint.
C = Width across shoulders.
D = Height of animal in a natural standing position from the top of the head or the ear tip, whichever is higher.

THANK YOU!

Answer
I'm sorry but you are asking the wrong person. We don't have 13 week old kittens around to measure, so I suggest you contact your breeder and ask them to measure a kitten that they have!

Or contact a local breeder, the humane society where you live or a local vet. They might have a kitten to measure.

Get the minimums of the carrier and buy one a bit larger. They come in all kinds of sizes. One carrier for an adult cat is not very large and can be bought at a local pet store.
