Question
I have two ginnea pigs in my home. they seem healthy, but I'm concern with a fly that doesn't leave their cage. I'm afraid that it is laying larve in the wood chips or worse, on the pets.
With regular cleaning of the cage, that fly doesn't seem to leave.
What can I do?

Answer
Hi there!
Flies are attracted to the feces in the cage.  If this is a plastic cage, they are probably still picking up on the scent that sticks in the plastic.
Wash their cage regularly with diluted bleach water, rinsing well.
This should alleviate the problem.
