QuestionI just got a very small and young puppy. She is a toy chihuahua and she is about between 5 to 6 weeks old. She is not eating much, but she has also just changed her living environments. Because she is so small and is having trouble eating dry food, is it okay to give her formula, or does she need a bottle? Any ideas would help
AnswerShe does not need a bottle at this age. I would mix some baby rice with meat baby food and see if she will eat that. Otherwise soak the dry food to moisten it or offer canned puppy food. Also, try to get her to eat some plain yogurt in case she is having stomach upset. A trip to the vet for examination and deworming is also in order.
