Question
Hi,

I was given an 8 month old Himalayan Chocolate point who has breathing problems..

She is eating very well, but, her breathing has become difficult..  I took her to a vet yesterday who gave her 3 antibiotic shots to see of that will clear her breathing problem..  The vet told me that she may have severe pnemonia and that it is not cureable in Himalayans..  Is this True??

I have fallen in love with this precious little thing..   And do not want to lose her..

What can I do to help her breathe better aside from the antibiotics that the vet prescribed her?

Answer
OK,  go get a second opinion. You did not mention one important thing to me XRAYS. If no chest xrays were taken and this kitty has breathing difficulty, HOW does your vet know she does not have fluid in her chest. OR is is asthma?  They DONT know until they take chest rads.  Pneumonia is cureaable. FIND A NEW VET!  Preferably cats only.

I am so sorry you were just tosses antibitocs, but your cat deserves bette.
