Question
I think my dog may have eaten a small container of this fly repellent. Unfortunately I can't read the label anymore. How bad is this and what can I do?

Answer
Hi Rachel.
First of all why do you think he would eat such a thing? I know dogs eat dumb stuff but this would taste awful.
Secondly, how long ago was this?
According to the MSDS sheet on this product you are supposed to drink 2 cups of water (for humans) and call a poison control center.
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING!
The number for a nation-wide veterinary one is:
(800) 346-5922 (California only)
or this is the best one:
The United States National Poison Hotline is 1-800-222-1222. When you call this number you will be automatically linked to the nearest poison center in the United States. Call this number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to talk to a poison expert.
Since I have no idea what state you are in call that one.
If not, then you will need to call the ER vet and ask what to do then.
This is your best bet- call poison control and then the vet. Call now!
Let me know later what happens. I hope he will be okay.
