Color of Urine

1 year old male maltees , not fixed
yesterday when i took him out to go to the bathroom is urine was orangeish in color.
he is seem to be fine nothing out of the ordinary
i'm thinking he at something he was not soppost to eat. or is there a cause for the change in colot

Hi Scott.  It definitely sounds as though your maltese either has a urinary tract infection, bladder infection, or urinary crystals.  Getting him to your veterinarian with a urine sample would be the best route.  You can either get a urine sample by sticking a small bowl under him when he urinates, or your veterinarian can get the sample for you.  The urine will then be tested for bacteria and/or crystals.  It is important to get this treated as soon as possible, as left untreated, this ailment could become very serious.
