Hi again!My dog Hyde is retaining a lot of water. Her bellie is large and she is
losing her appetite. Her vet doesnt seem very interested. He saw her some
time ago and noticed her bellie full of liquid but said he was afraid to
prescribe Lizix to her.  She is still taking the predizone (cortizone??)to
reduce the big internal lumps inside her throat but I dont know if it is
helping. Do you know of any medication/treatment to remove the water from
her system?? Please advise. Thank you very much.

The fluid can be removed with a needle and sent for analysis.  If it is just water, then sometimes the lasix can remove it.  If it is pus or protein fluid, then there is something very serious going on that may not be easily dealt with using medicine.
