I WOULD LIKE TO FIND A GOOD DOG FOOD THAT WILL HELP TO KEEP HIS TEETH CLEAN.

Hello Royce -

A good natural brand pet food, like Nutro, will assist in keeping your pets teeth clean.

If they are coated with tarter now, you may want to take him to the vet or groomer and have them cleaned. Then by switching to a good natural brand, you will keep them clean consistently.

Natural brand pet foods do not contain any preservatives, fillers, chemicals or by products. Sometimes these added ingredients are the cause for bad breath and tarter and not to mention are very heavy on a pets digestive system. Any natural brand will read that it is free of the above-mentioned products and will safe to use with your pet and will also aid in good general overall health.

I use Nutro with my Golden Retriever and he loves it. His teeth have never been that bad with tarter because I also give him "Greenies" once a month. They are a peppermint flavored all natural dog treat that freshens breath and also cleans teeth.

You may also want to invest in a good chew toy like one made by "Kong". These tough toys also help to keep the teeth clean by allowing the dog to chew and suck on the hardened rubber. These toys are safe and cannot be ingested because the rubber to difficult to chew apart.

There are many dog treats that offer teeth cleaning benefits, I like Greenies the best and so does my dog, DJ!
