Question
I am selling a 2 1/2 month Italian Greyhound puppy to a lady in Germany.  I am in Virginia.  She is going to fly here and pick it up and fly back with it.  I know she needs her first puppy shots and a microchip- what else does she need?  She is putting it under her seat.

Answer
Pam
How large will this pup be at time of travel?  I do NOT recommend
pet in cabin unless VERY small.  Imagine being cramped in a small
box for 10 hrs or so ...........
Exactly how old will pup be at shipping time?
They can enter Germany under 4 mos of age without rabies vac.  There
is a special cert required.  Contact the usda office in Richmond.
They may have a copy to send you.  I do not have any myself.
I suggest lady in Germany contact the proper authorities there as to
special entry requirements.
You will need the APHIS 7001 international health cert issued within
10 days of travel and endorsed by usda.  Also, EU 998  English -
German also endorsed by usda.  This will record microchip info
(also rabies vac history, if there is one)
Let me know if you need further assistance
