want to bring my dog from India to U.S.A

I want to bring my dog from India to the United States of America(Kentucky)....will it be put in quarantine or can i take it home as soon as i pass through customs?

Answer
There is NO quarantine in USA other than Hawaii
All you need is health cert issued within 10 days of travel and a
valid rabies vac.  Urge you to have dog current on ALL vacs.
Microchip is recommended but not required
Try to bring dog as excess baggage. Much cheaper and will clear
customs with you.  As cargo, will be more expensive and delay at the
terminal.
