Portugal regulations for dogs

Question
We will be moving to the Algarve in Portugal at the end of the year from India and would like to know the requirements and regulations for this move.  Also if quatentine can be avoided or if required the length of time and quarenteen kennel locations. I would also like to know which airline carriers do this service.

I do not know what happened, but your request for info did not get
to me thru normal channels!  I just accidently came across it.

I am not sure if there are any in Portugal, but there are some in
Spain who should be able to assist you.  Since Portugal is part of
the European Union, check their www as well.  Contact the Portuguese
Embassy or consulate near where you are.
Please let me know if this helps, and let me know if I can be of any
further assistance.  Do AVOID 3rd party shippers, as this will add
considerably to your total expense.  You should be able to do this
yourself.  Also, check with the airline you will travel on.  They
usually are very helpful
