Tank Problems

Question
David,
Right now I have seven bloodfin tetras and four white mollys in a 10gal tank with two tall fake plants, a short fake plant, a rock, and 10 lbs of gravel kept at about 82F. My situation is that the tetras don't eat the flakes I give them, just freeze-dried blood worms. The mollys on the other hand, don't eat the blood worms or the flakes, they just spit them back out. I'm trying to figure out what they can eat before they start nipping on the other fish in the tank to survive. Is it too many fish for the tank, perhaps? I know I'm breaking the "inch of fish per gallon" rule, but will I be alright, or should I get another tank for some of them? I'm going to go clean it now with a siphon, but is there anything else it could possibly be? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Matt:  Oddly I think the number of fish you have is ok.  Just do water changes (15)5 twice per week.  You could try to offer the fish brine shrimp... most fish love them.  They are also fond of live bloodworms and frozen bloodworms.  I like the frozen worms over the freeze dried worms mostly because they are already wet and the fish tend to eat them better.  dave
