betta peeling

hi karen i noticed u asked about ur betta peeling. I was wondering if u got an answer to that. my betta just started to peel on the fins. its almost becoming see through. and i also went back to the pet store and he told me hes never seen anything like that. so i dont really know what to do. im wondering if u figured it out. im wondering if maybe its brushing up against the rocks or plants i have in the bowl.

Maybe I can figure it out if I saw your betta. Some of my thoughts on betta's 'peeling' might be water quality related. Maybe a stress reaction to pollution in the water. Also check that the edges of his fins don't have red or otherwise odd discoloration that might indicate fin-rot.

And of course it could always be an injury. Which will heal with time and good clean water of course.
