Question
I have a oscar that I have had for about two years now and he has grown to a good size.  He has developed a hole where his left "nostral" should be and it is quite large and you can see inside quite a ways.  He seems to be doing fine and is active and eating good. Should I be concerend.  My 3 yr old daughter is very attached to him and would be devestated if he was ill.

Answer
Hi
Sounds to me like your oscar has hole in the head disease.
It starts with one hole then can get several more.If not treated this can be fatal for yor Oscar. You need to go to you local pet store as soon as you can and get some paragon. This medication is for specificly for oscars and the cichlid family. This should cure the hole.Make sure you read directions. You have got to administer medication like it says.

I hope this helps you.
