ich on oscar

I've had my oscars only for a few weeks and have noticed that they are covered in with white looking spots.  After reading some of the other question/anwsers it sounds like they have ich.  How exactly do I get rid of this?  I have never had anything other than betta or goldfish before, so I have no ideas!  Thanks!

Hi Dawn,
 If it looks like a dusting of icing sugar, then it is ick. Ick is very serious, but fortunately it can be treated.  Most any pet store will sell various ick killers.  Get one and use it as soon as possible.  Follow the instructions completely or it won't be effective.

 The one I use is called Rid-Ich but there are various brands that do similar things.
