Question
we built a water feature outside our kitchen window, its in a recess so its under cover, we waited until the water was right and then added goldfish.everything was fine until our pump broke,so there was very little oxygen.only a oxygen stone for a few days until we could replace it.sadley one by one we lost all our fish even thought the water was treated with anti fungal treatment.half water change and salt added.we waited until the conditions were good(we have a pond tester kit)until we added more fish.6weeks went by and a coulple of fish have died and one has got a sore on its side, which i am now treating with pond pride for open wound infection. Please is there anything else i can do,my local aquatic shop has been most helpful but it would good to have a seacond opinion.

Answer
Hi Patricia,

You did the right thing by treating the water.  Salt is a good idea aswel but only in small amounts (1 tsp per 15 gallons).  If you didn't condition or age the water before adding the fish, this is why they died.  I can't realy explain why the others died :(.

I hope I helped,
James
