Fish cant eat

My goldfish has all of a sudden stopped eating. He doesn't seem to be sick in any other ways and he usually loves feeding time.When I feed him it appears that he's trying to swallow the food but can't so he spits it out. I've held him and looked down into his mouth to see if there's anything blocking the way but I can't see anything. what could possibly be the problem.

Don't feed him for 48 hours, do a few small water changes, and at the end of the 48 hours give him small amounts of shelled peas. Lack of appetite can sometimes be a sign of internal parasites, so keep his water quality optimum and hopefully it will turn out he is just digesting. If it turns out to be parasites, go for natural remedies before using any man-made medicines.
