QuestionI have 2 (about 6-7 years old). We just purchased 4 neons and a tetra (few days ago). The kissing fish' fins are bright red and 1 of them has red spots on him, like he's bruised or bleeding. He is very lathargic and worried he is dying. Can you please help?
AnswerHi Lori,
I think the problems with the kissing gourami are unrelated to the new fish. It is more likely that the injured fish was attacked by the other kissing gourami. We call them "kissing" gouramis, but they aren't kissing, they are actually fighting when they do their "kissing" thing.
If possible, you need to isolate him so that he can heal.
