QUESTION: how to know flowerhorn male or female

ANSWER: Hi Sridhar,
 Actually the only absolutely for sure way to know is to see them spawning.  At that time, the female's breeding tube is shaped more like a blunt cone, while the male's tube is more pointy.

  Please read my first answer -- you cannot tell for sure just by looking at the fish. Anyone who tells you that they can is making it up.  

  As for the type, all flowerhorns are manmade, so you can call it whatever you like.
