Question
Hi, sorry for so many questions, Lynda, I was reading all the instructions on this little Hydor mini heater, and everything was fine until it said,  "Do not place your hands or any object in the aquarium tank while heater is connected to electrical mains and operating"
I can't get a phone number to call them directly, and Petsmart thinks it means nothing...hmmm
I'm kinda worried that the heater isn't safe for her if I can't stick MY hands in...I wouldn't normally put my hands in her tank anyway, but what do you suppose they are saying there?  Gosh, I'm so GREEEN!!!

Answer
Hi Liane,
It is just a precaution.  Make sure you disconnect it, and leave it time to cool down before you do your water changes.  It's safe, fish know not to go near anything that is hot.  Remember to bring the temperature up slowly.  Check your thermometer to make sure it only goes up one degree today.  Once it is at the right temperature, it will only light up now, and then to keep the water at the right temperature.  No worries.
