what kind of fish is this

hi i have just bought a fish they said it might be a gold fish but it is a very dark gold. it has got only 1 back fin hope that is a enough information thanks

 Unfortunately that is not near enough information.  Keep in mind that there are over 28,000 species of fishes.  Do you have a photo you could send?
