Betta Over-eating

Question
I've had a betta for about three months now and he seems to always be hungry.  My mom's betta will only eat about 2-4 pellets in one day and isn't interested in eating anymore, he just leaves the extra food on the top and my mom scoops it out but my betta will just keep eating.  I feed him 2-3 times per day of betta pellet food and he eats about 5-7 each time and will keep eating more if I give it to him.  Is it ok to keep giving him food as long as he is eating it or can this kill him?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Amber,
No it is not okay.  You should only feed him a little and only once a day.  Otherwise your
betta will get fat and that is very unhealthy for him.
