Red cap fish

Dear Ron

We recently purchased 2 red cap gold fish. We think one has got dropsy as it is very swollen ,has sticky out scales and has looked like this for 2 days.  We are treating it with anti internal bacteria. For the last 2 days the other fish has been chasing the poorly fish and pecking it . It seems to do this quite alot and the big fish is always trying to get away or hide. Can you tell us what might be going on as we don't really know alot, being new owners.  Thanks very much, Nicky.

Hi Nicky,
 Well, basically the one fish is chasing the other fish to death.  The one that is being chased is getting more and more stressed and that is causing the bloating and all the other problems.  You really need to separate those fish.
