Blue Acara cichlids

so i put no fish at all in the tank sept blue acara

Hi Matthew,
 If you want the blue acara babies to live, then yes, you need to not put other fish in there.  If you put other cichlids or barbs in there, they will eat the babies.  If you put things like tetras in there, the parent acaras will very likely kill them to protect the babies.
