Blood Parrot Cichilids

Hello, I have 8 Blood Parrot Cichilids and once i got them they were so energetic and colorful, but now they're always hiding and acting dull, even when i feed them! I'M VERY concerned about the black spots appearing fast on their lips and sides, especially my yellow one which is almost covered with black! What should I do?

Hi Samara,
 Those black spots are likely "bruises" and are the result of fighting. Also, are you doing lots of water changes?  You should be changing 25% of the water in the tank at least once a week, every week, to keep them happy and healthy.
