depression

How can i tell if my male beta is depressed?

Hi Toya,
 In general, fishes do not get depressed.  They do however get cold which makes them sluggish.  A betta is a tropical
fish and really needs a temperature around 75-80oF.  Do you have a heater in your betta tank?   If not, you should strongly consider getting a heater.
