iridescent shark

Hi there, i have a brand new iridescent shark that i recently added to my 10 gallon tank, when he was in the pet store he was acting normal, but when iadded him to my tank, he developed a strange behavior, he is always laying on his side or standing vertically with either his nose or tail in the gravel, sometimes even upside down. ive had him for a month and still no change in behavior.  what could be causing this and how can i get him to act normal again?

Please, please bring him back to the store or rehome him immediately. You have no idea what you are investing in right now. Those fish need a couple thousand gallon's not a 10 gallon aquarium. They get 4 feet in size and 2 feet in width. You'll be in big trouble if you keep this fish it'll outgrow tank sizes like crazy.
