QuestionQUESTION: I have an Albino Red Oscar, that I have had for about five months. I live in the country and only have well water, that I have been using for my fish tank. My Oscar used to share a tank with my piranha, but there was a divider between the both of them. Recently I bought a 80 gallon tank, and put a Red Devil, a few other fish, and my Oscar all in the fish tank. The fish all seamed to be getting along well with each other, but recently I noticed that the fish seamed frightened. My Oscar is all white with reddish/orange stripe, but a little while ago I noticed the Oscars eyes seam to pop out more, and is getting a blackish tint to him. The other fish besides my Red Devil are mostly black. What is causing my fish to go from white to blackish?
ANSWER: Hi Stephannie,
Take some time and watch your tank closely from a distance. I suspect that the red devil may be bothering the oscar. Could this be possible?

QUESTION: I have been watching the Oscar for about a week now, and he seams to just keep getting darker. The Red Devil doesn't seam to go around the Oscar too much, he tends to go after a different fish that i believe is pregnant. I have been trying to get rid of the Red Devil but no one will take him. Is there a pet shop that you know of that i can take him?
AnswerHi Stephanie,
Unfortunately many pet stores will not take large red devils for precisely the reason you want to get rid of him -- they don't play well with others. You might try something like craigslist.
