hi my convicts just laid eggs today can you tell me when i have to take the father out and what the healthier food to feed the fry thanks

Hi Andre,
  There is no need or reason to take the father out. They are biparental meaning that both parents take care of the kids.

  You only need to feed the fry AFTER they start free-swimming. Prior to that they are feeding off the yolk sac.   The best food to start with is baby brine shrimp. Ideally you might hatch it yourself. A more practical solution is to buy frozen baby brine shrimp.
