Question
QUESTION:  Hi! Ok, I'm trying to figure out how many flakes do i feed the fish.. my mom always say feed them once a day... and I think I should feed more.. and so can i only feed them flakes instead or i need to feed them other things (like pellets)? also i have a 29 gallon tank with filter and i have 11 fishies... 7 Koi goldfishes, 1 white goldfish, 1 fish that cleans the tank glasses, and 2 of those fish that has yellow skin with black polka dots (not puffer fish... they don't puff spikes).. and is one oxygen thing good enough for this much of fishes?

Thanks for helping me

ANSWER: Hi,
You'll end up needing a 3,000 gallon pond for those eventually. You should feed them more, but the tank is so overstocked, just feed them 1 time a day. keep up the water changes and be ready to upgrade to a serious pond or return some fish.

QUESTION: where can i get a 3000 gallon pond?! i cant have a pond!  or at least right now... and how is the tank overstocked? and what else can i do besides building a 3000 gal. pond?

Answer
Hi,
Koi can get a solid 3' in length. Not to mention, all of the fish you have in that tank produce a lot of waste for fish their size.

You could keep them in their if you wanted, but if the ammonia spikes didn't kill the fish, It would stunt their growth and they would die at a very young age.

It just occurred to me that I had failed to answer a few questions you asked me in your first question. It's completely up to you what you feed them. These fish will eat anything (almost.) What ever you feed them, It's important to have a slightly varied diet.

There isn't really anything you can do to keep the oxygen levels high enough long term other that lots of water changes.

I'll admit, you could most likely use a 500 gallon pond (depending on the dimensions and filtration), but that is really going to be the best long term alternative.

Sorry to upset you if I did. I can be a bit harsh with things like this.

To sum it all up, It's all up to you. I simply listed what I personally would do in that scenario.
