Can I feed Rolly Pollies to my fish?

23 13:59:08

Question
I have 3 Black Skirt Tetras, 2 common Platies, 1 Lace Cat, and 1 Pleco. I have a 30 gallon with a 30-60 gallon whisper filter. The tank is two months old and I have done on 15% water change. I have an abundance of little rolly pollies outside and I was wondering if it would be safe to feed them to my fish. Thanks for the time.

Answer
Ha!

That's very funny and very coincidental, because just today I thought the exact same thing!! Tried it, fish didn't like it.

Even if they did eat it, Wood Lice (the correct term for your "roly polys") are mostly bone and shell, no nutritional value.

It would be easier just to stomp them. You can feed crickets or chopped earthworms though, just make sure you are not spraying with pesticides.
