male and female

Question
if i have a male Beta, am i allowed to add another male beta..or a female beta..or any male or female type of fish..like am i allowed to add another fish and what kind.

Hi Matt,
 Definitely do not put another male betta in the same tank as an existing male betta. They are extremely territorial.   You might add a female if it is a large tank (e.g., 30 gallons +) and has lots of hiding places for the female.
