QuestionI have a 10 gallon tank. It was doing just fine...then I decided to do a partial change and clean the tank. I have a filter on the side of the tank. I refilled with filtered water, put conditioner in it, checked the ammonia and it was still high. So I put a Ammonia Clear tablet in it. Well, now the water is so cloudy I can't see across the tank. I have a Goldfish, good size, some of her babies about 5 that are about 4 months old, a small albino catfish and a small frog. They were all doing great until this change. Now they are all stressed swimming all over the place. The breathing has slowed down (it was really rapid), but I can't figure how to make the tank clear. Please help.
AnswerHey Angela,
Sorry about the delayed responce, i was coming back from a vacation and had a few issues in transit (my laptop went on the wrong flight!)
Change out 50% of the water, and add clean fresh new water (with conditioner). This should clear out the fogginess of the water. This is a risky move, due to the increased stress, but it will help in the long run. Change 30% of the water twice a week until the ammonia problems settle as well.
Hope this helps! Good luck
