My fish has lost a fin

My Carp has lost one of his back fins its a very small ghost carp and i noticed he was swimming on his side i placed him i a large bowl away from the other fish where i noticed he was missing a back fin he appears to only be able to swim sideways he falls upside down and lies on his side wen he tries to swim is there anything i can do and will his fin grow back thank you

Hi Torrie,
 Sadly, most likely another fish attacked him and bit off his fin.  If the fin is completely gone, it is unlikely to grow back.  If it is just partially gone, it may regrow.  There is nothing that you can do to "help" this other than putting him in a situation where he will not get attacked again.
