Mine is a 3ft tank. and i have variety of cichilids like dolphin,Venustus,peacocks,electric yellow,jewels,convicts. What kind of water should i use for these fish. presently i use hard water for them. i didnt wanna take risk using fresh water bexause most of the fresh water supplies to the apartment comes with loads of cholorine. and since a few days my fish wer moving their bodies. i knew that there was some problem with the water and its been just a month i cleaned the tank? what should i do? and my male peacock started loosing its color. the blue color turned to black

Regular tap water is best for your fish. Just remember to add a water conditioner to the clean water being replaced. The conditioner remove the chlorine and other things from your tap. Water changes are done weekly by removing 25% of the water and replacing it with clean conditioned water that is the same temperature as the main tank's water.
