Betta fish wont eat

Question
Hi,
I brought home two betta fish on saturday. Of course they are in separate bowls(It was called a betta kit when I bought it). The first two days they ate about six pellets each...called Betta Bio Gold(baby pellet). Today and yesterday, the blue one only ate one each day and I think he spit that out when my back was turned. Is he sick? Should I be concerned or is this normal. he seems more active than the red one and much more aggressive. He gets really mad when he sees the other one. I am going to change his water when it gets the right temperature. I hope this will do the trick. Maybe there is something you could tell me to do that I am not doing. Just so you know his bowl has gravel and a plastic plant and I use bowl conditioner in his water. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Answer
Hi Patricia;

Oops! You are feeding them too much! Give them one or two pellets a day. Bettas get fat and constipated if they overeat. Each one is different and like people, have different energy levels too. The food is dry and soaks up lots of water so there is more food in each one than it seems.

Put them in a very warm place too. They require 75 degrees at the very lowest. The sick one may be plugged up and his digestive system can't work properly if the water is too cool. Here is a link to their care on About.com;
