Question
I have 2 Oscars fish(Doo Doo and Dum Dum) and 1 silver arowana(Dannie) in 90 gallon tank. They are small right now. Arowana might be of 5 inch and Oscars would be of 4inch. They were doing fine but from last night when i forgot to feed them, my Oscars are continuously disturbing the Dannie. Even I have feed them now but they are just behind my Dannie. I do not what to do. Please tell me what can I do for my Dannie?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Ali,
Oscars, and Arowanas need very big tanks.  One Oscar needs 60 gallons of water all to himself, and 2 Oscars you must double this.  An Arowana needs a very big tank also, and should not be put in with Oscars.  Arowanas do well with bottom fish, as they occupy the middle and top of the water in your tank.
You will either have to bring the Arowana back for a credit, or the Oscars.  I would bring back the Arowana, as he will one day get too big for your tank.  Oscars are territorial, and Arowanas can be aggressive.  There is no room in your tank for these three fish who grow to be very big.  The reason your Oscars are continuously disturbing Dannie, is not because you did not feed them.  They will push him around, and one day they will attack him.  Oscars are wonderful fish, but they do make their territory, and right now they need the tank to themselves.  They are getting bigger, and Oscars grow very fast, about one inch every month.  There is no room in your tank for the Arowana, or any other fish.  Please consider taking him back before the Oscars attack him for lack of space.
I'm sorry to bring you such bad news, but those are the facts.
