Black Moor Illness

Question
Hello

I purchased a Black Moor 3 months ago along with two other gold fish. All of the fish have been doing great, at least up until a week ago.

My Black Moor; Swimmy, has developed some white spotting on his back, has lost both eyes, and stays at the bottom of the tank in one corner, only occasionally coming up to eat.  I am really concerned as prior to this he was very active and very receptive to me. I believe his eyes have fallen out because he does not seem to be able to see me anymore, and it looks like two empty sockets. Will they grow back?

Any ideas??

Very concerned in Frederick MD.
Thank you

Answer
eyes will not grow back no...but i highly doubt they fell out.
it may just be a glazing over his eyes...

it sounds like he has ick, if so get some treatment at the petstore as ick will kill

also he may have velvet, a fungal infection that causes a white glazing over eyes, lips and bidy, but it may only glaze one section (in your case his eyes)
