blue ram cichlid and leopard cory

Question
hey, I have a fairly young and new to our tank blue ram cichlid who
is constantly attacking and chasing one of our leopard cory catfish.
I thought blue rams are supposed to be rather peaceful outside of
their species, is this normal behaviour?  And is there any reason
why the cichlid has chosen the catfish?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Georgia,
That is a bit strange.  Normally rams aren't overly bothered by catfish.  One solution is to make sure that there is lots of structure in the tank, e.g., wood, rock, plants so that the two don't want to always be in the same place at the same time.
