Question
My uncle has an aquarium with 7 adult tinfoil barb. i don't know whether they are male or female but they've been there for 3 years. he can't clean the aquarium regularly that's why i wanted to buy him a janitor fish for the same aquarium. is it OK if this two types of fish can live together in one same aquarium? how many janitor fish can we put in the aquarium together with the 7 tinfoil barb? and about the food that the janitor fish eats, can they eat fish food like the one that the tinfoil eats?

Answer
Hi,
I have 29 types of fish living together n one of my larger tanks. To determine what type of janitor fish you get, I need to know how big the tank is and what type of filtration it has. Keep in mind janitor fish are often some of the messiest fish out there, and unless the barbs are sick or there is ammonia in the tank, there are almost no reasons to clean the tank with hardy fish like barbs.
